Perception of Threatening Events in the Emotional Aftermath of a Televised College Football Game

From the April ’93 (and we won that year, baby) issue of Harper’s Magazine.

Something tells me that, were a similar experiment conducted today in the immediate aftermath of The Six, Alabama students / fans would check the 90% probability box to Tuberville’s being an actual terrorist.

Special Thanks to Jim “Dr. Octagon” Carlile for introducing a freshman “rat” to Harper’s back in 1998.
